Nick is the Managing Director of Vertex Group, which encompasses Vertex Engineers, BrickHouse Technologies, VertexUV and Tonka Civil.​

Founded in 2011, Nick has been managing the day-to-day operations, relationship management and project direction of a dynamic range of projects across Mechanical and Process engineering applications.​

In this role, Nick is known for his ability to provide innovative solutions to industry problems across dairy to food manufacturing. The foundation of this project work, and the partnership’s he’s personally developed to build Vertex Engineers into a Group of companies, includes Fonterra, Tip Top, Dairy Goat Co-Operative, Inghams Enterprises, Coupeland’s and Goodman Fielder, to name a few.​

As a skilled senior leader, he has come back into the Group to realign the strategy and implement forward-focused directives. His proven experience leading diverse teams to deliver end-to-end engineering projects across New Zealand is the foundation of this growth strategy, along with fostering stronger connections to ensure trust is meet at all levels.

With over 20 years of experience in industrial electrical automation and instrumentation, Shaun specialises in integrating innovative UV-C treatment solutions to enhance disease control and promote sustainable practices across multiple industries. His expertise spans food and beverage sectors—including dairy, meat, poultry, and wastewater treatment—as well as pre-harvest and post-harvest applications in horticulture and forestry.

He has a proven track record of implementing that support biodiversity and reduce environmental impact. His deep industry knowledge allows him to tailor UV-C solutions to meet each customer’s unique needs, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and long-term success.

Passionate about innovation and sustainability, Shaun remains at the forefront of technological advancements, continuously seeking new ways to improve disease management, food safety, and industrial processes. His mission is to help businesses adopt cutting-edge UV-C technology that aligns with global sustainability goals while delivering reliable, effective results.

Prior to joining Vertex UV, Julian spent nearly four decades working in sales and senior executive roles across the industrial, mining dairy, and food industries.  

As a qualified electrician with proven on-the-job experience, he has been involved in electrical support, sales and business development in New Zealand across the past ten years.  

When the opportunity arose to join a team at the forefront of UV-C technology, Julian jumped at the chance. 

Supported by the Vertex Group of companies, he now enjoys showing customers how they can implement effective, safe, and economical applications of UV-C to eradicate germicide viruses. 

With a passion for people and business integration, Julian is able to employ his skills in sales, negotiation, strategy, management, business development, and go-to-market strategy to work across a wide range of industries.
